Generations FCU Chief Operating Officer Retires After 44 Years
Tuesday, November 24, 2015 6:50 AM

Generations Federal Credit Union recently celebrated outgoing Chief Operating Officer Christine Voigt for her 44 years of service to the credit union and the industry.

Voigt joined Generations in 1971 as a receptionist, loan clerk, and collector. Throughout her remarkable career, she oversaw the establishment and implementation of the credit union's ACH, ATMs, and the Call Center, to name a few.

On Wednesday, Nov. 18, GFCU employees gathered to celebrate Voigt’s retirement. In her honor, Generations President and CEO Steve Schipull announced the creation of the Christine Voigt Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship will be used to help staff advance professionally through conferences and trainings designed to help them grow and develop as leaders.

“Throughout her career, everything Christine has done has been in the best interest of our members,” said Schipull. “We are sad to see her go, but look forward to continuing her legacy of service and dedication for years to come.”

Wednesday’s celebration included Voigt’s family. She was presented with a photo book chronicling her time with Generations and was surprised with an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.
