I understand that both CUNA and Cornerstone host a Legislative Briefing...which one should I attend?

A. Feel free to attend both, but don’t miss the Cornerstone Legislative Briefing at 4:15 pm on Monday, February 24th at the Renaissance Hotel (location TBD) . The Cornerstone briefing is designed specifically to address the issues facing credit unions today particularly as they relate to our congressional delegations. The meeting will wrap up by 5:30 pm, giving you plenty of time to prepare for the Herb Wegner Dinner that evening!

Every year there is a special event for the Cornerstone delegation. What is the plan for this year?

A. This year’s event is a Potomac dinner cruise on the Spirit of Washington. Dress is casual but be sure to bring a coat if you’d like to go on the deck. To register or for more information please check out our website at

Will the League schedule appointments for me with my Congressman and Senators?

A. Capitol Hill visits are set for Wednesday, February 26th. As is customary your league will schedule appointments for our members. As a reminder if you haven’t already, please complete the online registration form. Be sure to include which congressional district you live in as schedulers frequently use that information to determine whether we meet with the member or a staff person. (Please list your meeting requests in order of priority.)

Will there be transportation available to the Hill on Wednesday?

A. Cabs will be lined up and waiting outside the hotel and the convention center to take you to Capitol Hill. From our general location cab fare should run about $15 depending on how many passengers there are and what time of day it is.
