The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is hosting its FOCUS Summit Feb. 5-6, 2015, at the Doubletree Galleria Hotel in Dallas. Open to all credit union professionals, community leaders, and educators, this two-day event is an opportunity for financial education advocates to network, share best practices, learn about available resources, and explore proven techniques and strategies for deploying financial education into their local schools and communities.

A highlight of the 2015 program includes a keynote address by Randy White, former defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys. As a popular corporate speaker, White shares his insights on teamwork, goal setting, change, commitment, and accountability.

As one of the strongest and toughest defensive tackles ever to play the game, White was dubbed "Manster" (part man and part monster) by teammate Charlie Waters. During his 14-year tenure with the World Champion Dallas Cowboys, White was selected All Pro eight times and Pro Bowl nine times. He played in three Super Bowls, and after his outstanding performance in Super Bowl XII, he was selected as a Super Bowl MVP.

White's resume is a veritable cornucopia of collegiate and pro football awards, including the defensive version of the Heisman, the Outland Trophy, and his 1994 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He currently co-hosts the Dallas Cowboys pre-game show with Babe Laufenberg on CBS, in addition to hosting his own show, Talking Football with Randy White, which airs on Fox Sports Southwest.

In addition to a wealth of networking opportunities, participants at the FOCUS Summit will also attend a Best Practices Expo and learn about financial education programs, including:

  • Money Habitudes, a money personality test
  • Financial education activities
  • Financial education legislative update
  • Session on our country’s success habit

Foundation FOCUS is a collaborative initiative that allows the Foundation to diversely impact communities. As a result, the Foundation FOCUS Network was created—people working together to improve the financial well-being in their communities, from preschool to adulthood.

Friends of Consumer Freedom has signed on as a sponsor, but other sponsorships are available. Download your quick and easy sponsorship form.

The fee to attend the two-day program is a deal at $250.
