The Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Union’s held its 7th annual Bowl-a-Thon benefiting Children’s Miracle Network and Cook Children’s Hospital on Aug. 9.

There were 454 participants from 14 Fort Worth credit unions, business partners, and sponsors. The chapter held a silent auction, wine pull, and 50/50 auction, along with an online giving contest, which raised a total of $40,888.

Fully 100 percent of the proceeds from the event, appropriately named Shake, Wag, and Bowl, benefit the Cook Children’s Medical Center’s Facility Dog Program for animal therapy: Sit… Stay… Play. The therapy provides professionally trained golden retrievers to bring comfort and healing to patients, families, and staff.

The annual Bowl-a-Thon is just one of the many efforts in which the Chapter supports Children’s Miracle Network and the community of Fort Worth.

See the video message that Andy Reed, president of the Fort Worth Chapter, made about how the chapter raised more than $1 million for the Children's Miracle network.
