The Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Union’s 3rd annual ICU Day of Celebration Chili Cook-Off was held on October 16th, and it had 91 people in attendance. The Chapter wants to thank all of the people who took the time and effort to make chili and cakes to bring to the event.

EECU Advertising Manager Joe Czabajszki won the cook-off, both the blind taste test trophy and the People’s Choice award. Of his win, Czabajski said, “I’m very surprised to have won the blind taste judging two years in a row! I feel very fortunate.”

The 2nd place winner was Rene Cortez and the 3rd place winner was Ben Merritt.

Third Annual Chili CookoffAlong with the cook-off, each year the Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions hosts a fundraising event benefiting the TCCUL PAC. This year they held a cake auction and raised $2,085 in cake funds, $288 in votes, and $340 in door prizes for a total of $2,713. A special thanks to Shawn Watts and Beth Peters for being our auctioneers.

The Fort Worth Chapter is excited about the chili cook-off for 2015 and hopes to have even more participants.
