Larry Wilson, former chief financial officer of AMOCO Federal Credit Union, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015.

His dedication to the credit union movement began 20 years earlier, which included positions as vice president of accounting for Fort Bliss Federal Credit Union in El Paso, Texas; EVP and CFO for White Sands Federal Credit Union in Las Cruces, New Mexico; and president and CEO for Southwest 66 Credit Union in Odessa, Texas.

Wilson was also a 1993 graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School and previously served as president of both the R.C. Morgan Chapter of Credit Unions and Permian Chapter of Credit Unions.

Prior to joining the credit union movement, Wilson served as assistant vice president at the EL Paso Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and received a BBA in business and economics from the University of Texas of El Paso.

"While Larry played a huge role in our strategic efforts and helped us to get where we are today, he will forever be remembered as a friend and mentor,” stated Shawn Bailey, current AMOCO president and CEO. “We are fortunate to have had him in our lives and he will be greatly missed.”
