Focus Federal Credit Union Goes Casual for the Community
Tuesday, June 30, 2015 6:55 AM

Focus Federal Credit Union staff are donning casual attire this summer and raising money for several local charities. At the beginning of the summer season, employees were offered the chance to pay $2 per day or $25 per month to wear casual attire (jeans, capris, tennis shoes, and flip flops) every day.

Each staff member gets to choose which local organization they want to support. Some causes supported by casual days are the YWCA Battered Woman’s and Children’s Shelter, Pets and People, Infant Crisis Services, Harvest Foster Kids Camp, and Skyline Food Resource Center. So far, team members have raised over $975 for eight local organizations.

Focus FCU Director of Community Relations Chandra Goodson said, “This fundraiser has been well-received by our staff. Every Focus branch has team members participating in casual days. This is just another example of Focus employees giving back to our local communities. Casual Days are a fun way to cultivate a philanthropic business environment.”
