FirstLight FCU Announces Selection of New Director of Talent Management

Ronnie Rouse has been named as FirstLight Federal Credit Union’s new director of talent management effective Monday, May 9, 2016. The executive search was conducted by Credit Union Resources for the $900 million dollar credit union. 

Previously the VP operations/human resource manager at American State Bank in Tyler, Texas, Rouse was responsible for directing human resources strategies including benefit administration, all areas of human resource compliance, performance management, HR operations, employee development, talent acquisition, compensation management, and instilling a robust and employee-focused company culture. During his leadership, Rouse empowered strategic execution teams while developing management teams with an emphasis on strategic communication and achievement of the team’s mission and vision.

With more than 10 years' experience within the financial services industry, Rouse will help FirstLight continue to serve its members and their families by helping them achieve financial security through the credit union’s accessible products, services, tools, and educational resources. Rouse’s business acumen, high-level management experience, and record of achievements will be a valuable asset to FirstLight.

Rouse received a Bachelor of Business Administration in human resource management from Friends University in Wichita, Kan. He also is a Certified Financial Training (CFT) board member and instructor.
