FAA Credit Union Breaks Ground on Edmond Branch
Wednesday, October 7, 2015 7:00 AM

FAA CU Groundbreaking

On September 30, FAA Credit Union President and CEO Steve Rasmussen kicked off the groundbreaking ceremony for the credit union's newest location at 2530 West Danforth in Edmond. With board members, FAA Credit Union members, the Edmond Chamber, as well as other community partners, Rasmussen expounded upon the branch's newest features.

The 3,200-square-foot facility is designed to enhance member experience through state-of-the-art technology. An innovative teller pod system will replace traditional teller lines, allowing members to do more than make deposits and withdrawals. The high-tech system also allows members to process loans, open accounts, and access the majority of services offered by FAA; and a “tech bar” will be available for easy online access to accounts and other online services.

When FAA Credit Union was founded in 1946, the goal was to help those working for the FAA with their financial needs. Fifty years later, the community was invited to join, and in December of 2005, FAA Credit Union opened a branch in Edmond. This branch marks the seventh location and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.

With headquarters in Oklahoma City and seven branches in the greater Oklahoma City area, FAA CU has been serving members for more than 60 years. Today, the credit union has assets in excess of $580 million and serves 50,000 members in Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, and Pottawatomie counties. Membership is open to anyone who resides, works, worships, or attends school in its eight-county service area.
