Evolve FCU Helps Children of El Paso with Make-a-Wish Campaign

Evolve FCU Make-a-Wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish believes that by granting wishes they are helping the children have a positive outlook to fight their disease. Evolve Federal Credit Union is partnering with Make-A-Wish this holiday season by having a fundraiser where they match each dollar donated to the foundation.

Evolve FCU deems it their responsibility to give back to their community, and they're running a Make-a-Wish campaign at the credit union for 12 days, running from Dec. 8 until Christmas Eve. Learn more about the credit union's special purpose.

Both evolve FCU members and non-members are encouraged to purchase a stuffed reindeer for one dollar each. One hundred percent of the donations will be matched by the credit union and in turn donated to Make-A-Wish.

“As a local institution, it continues to be evolve Federal Credit Union’s goal to support other El Paso based organizations,” said Elisa Arce, vice president of marketing at evolve FCU. “The Make-A-Wish Foundation is near our credit union as it not only reflects evolve’s purpose in supporting children’s organizations, it is also an organization that our employees have personal ties to. As wish granters and volunteers, we have seen firsthand the impact Make-A-Wish has on the lives of children in our community, and we are honored to be a part of that in any way possible.”

The Make-A-Wish North Texas Chapter has an office location on N. Mesa St. in El Paso and thus far, the local office has been able to grant more than 99 local wishes. By bringing attention to the organization, evolve FCU is hoping to encourage El Pasoans to get involved with their local chapter through donations or volunteer work.
