Lee Wetherington to Keynote Cornerstone Foundation FOCUS Summit

ProfitStars Director of Strategic Insight Lee Wetherington cautions that what consumers see is only as good as how it makes them feel. He will be the closing keynote speaker at this year's Cornerstone Foundation FOCUS Summit, March 3-4, with his presentation "How Money Feels: Emotional IQ and the Future of Financial Services and Financial Education."

To remain relevant, Wetherington says, financial institutions must not only shift their focus from money movement to money management, they must also master the art of engagement (i.e., the ability to create repeated, satisfying interactions that enhance the emotional connection between consumers and their FIs). He discuss what neuroscience teaches us about decision making, impulse control, and the best ways financial educators can leverage digital channels to educate, serve, inform, and influence.

Wetherington directs the development of actionable insight and strategy for the financial services industry for ProfitStars. He has delivered more than 400 keynotes for groups, including the Credit Union National Association, National Automated Clearinghouse Association, and the credit union leagues of Texas, Michigan, Maine, and Wisconsin among others. He is also the technology faculty chair for Southwest CUNA Management School.

The event takes place at the Doubletree Hotel Galleria in Dallas, and offers financial education initiatives, resources, techniques, and strategies; overall leadership development; opportunities to share best practices; and networking.

Foundation FOCUS is a region-wide collaborative initiative created to expand the educational reach and impact on all people, from preschoolers to adults. From this initiative, the FOCUS Network was developed. The FOCUS Network unites credit union professionals, community leaders, and educators in attempt to improve the financial well-being of people in their communities. When you bring together members of the FOCUS Network to fulfill the goals of the FOCUS initiative, you'll find there's no better place to be than at the FOCUS Summit.
