Educators Credit Union Presents $9,000 in Scholarships

Educators Credit Union Scholarships

Educators Credit Union presented six scholarships to area high school seniors at the Annual Membership meeting held on March 23, 2015.

Recipients were:

  • Tyler Dews from Gatesville High School
  • Grace Huynh from Robinson High School
  • Kayla Kemp from Providence Preparatory School
  • Mikayla Miller from Copperas Cove High School
  • Cannon Tate from Riesel High School
  • Jacob Walters who is home-schooled

Each of these students received $1,500 towards their college education at the school of their choice. Students were chosen based on academic achievements, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, community service, and financial need.

"The scholarship program is just one way Educators Credit Union gives back to the communities we serve," stated Joe Hutyra, CEO. "These students have set high goals for themselves, and we are very proud to play a part in helping them to attain their goal of receiving a college degree."
