ETPCU Gilmer Branch Coordinator Shelby Darnold and Teller Supervisor Tiffany Wilkinson present the check to Foundation Member Barbara Hill, Foundation President Alise Nolan, and Foundation Treasurer Daphne Grimes.

Representatives from East Texas Professional Credit Union in Gilmer, Texas, presented a $500 check to the Gilmer ISD Foundation on Jan. 14.

"Education holds a special place in the history of East Texas Professional Credit Union," said ETPCU President and CEO Byron Norton. "Our institution was founded in 1953 when 13 educators pooled their resources to offer an alternative means of financial well-being for the common man. Although our field of membership has expanded, education remains at the heart of our organization."

The mission of the Gilmer ISD Foundation is to acquire and grant resources to maximize the quality of education available in the Gilmer Independent School District and to further the education of students and educators.
