Don't Forget to Nominate a Deserving Professional for YP Representative of the Year

Do you know a young professional individual who excels in their work with credit unions? Here's your opportunity to ensure they are recognized for their efforts. You can nominate a deserving young professional for the YP Representative of the Year Award, but don't delay. Make your nomination by June 8.

The nominee must be a credit union employee or volunteer affiliated with Cornerstone, at least 18 years of age, and no more than 40 years of age by Dec. 31, 2016. The nominee must also be a YP representative for their credit union.

The responsibilities of credit union YP representatives will include:

  • Participate in a minimum of two young professional events in their local chapter.
  • Provide quarterly updates to the credit union staff and/or board of directors on young professional activities.
  • Assist YP chapter delegates in coordination of advocacy activity in the local chapter, to include candidate meetings and response to calls to action and regulatory comments.

Any Cornerstone-affiliated credit union or chapter may nominate individuals for this award, and nomination may be made without regard to credit union or chapter boundaries. Download the nomination form here and submit by June 8.

Once the nominations have closed, nominees will receive a special form to complete and return to Brandon Walker at or via fax to 405-445-1513 by June 28.

The YP Representative of the Year will be selected by a panel of YP advisors voting from the available pool of candidates.
