Business continuity planning is a lot like homeowners insurance: you prepare, plan and pay the premiums in the hope of never having to use the benefits. However, business continuity planning and preparations can quickly be called into action. There is no substitute for strategic, proactive internal- and external-facing planning. Learn what it takes to get your organization ready.

  • The Importance of Ongoing Testing & Employee Communications
Millicent “Millie” Mayaka, SCMS, CUCE (Director of Compliance, InTouch CU)
Sufficient planning and preparation for natural disasters, events outside of your organization’s control, and other similar occurrences should always be a priority for the credit union. As a result, the regular testing of your credit union’s Business Continuity Plan is critical to ensure it remains viable. • The Importance of Testing & Frequency
    • Testing Methods & Documentation
    • Communication Methods (Staff, Board Members etc.) – Emergency Communication System
