Call for Nominations - Associate Directors on the League Board

DEADLINE: MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12:00 NOON CENTRAL TIME ON THURSDAY, MARCH 1, 2018.

In recognition of the unique and vital roles of the volunteer and young professional in the credit union system, the League board has designated three associate directorships—one for the volunteer, one for the young professional with a third to be either a volunteer or young professional.

Associate directors are encouraged to participate in all board discussions and deliberations as non-voting members of the League board. All travel expenses for attendance at board meetings will be reimbursed. Associate directors will hold three-year staggered terms, with one director being elected each year. Two young professionals and one volunteer are currently serving on the board and the term of the volunteer will expire at the conclusion of the annual member meeting on April 18th. As a result this election is to select a volunteer to serve as an associate director on the League board.

To become an eligible candidate as a Volunteer Associate Director, you:

  • Must be a member of a League member credit union.
  • Must have served in a volunteer position with a member credit union for at least the previous two years.

Please review the League Associate Directorships, Qualifications, Responsibilities & Commitment

Applicants must have the application completed with the signed acknowledgement of their credit union’s CEO/President or Chairman of the Board.

All completed applications received by the deadline of Thursday, March 1, will be forwarded to the Nominating Committee of the League Board for review and recommendation. The Associate Director Nominating Committee will select a candidate for recommendation to the League Board of Directors.

The term will commence immediately following the League Annual Membership meeting in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 18, 2018.
