Deadline is Friday to Submit Entries for Professional, Volunteer and Achiever of the Year Awards

The Cornerstone Credit Union League’s Awards & Recognition program is designed to recognize accomplishments, time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by professionals and volunteers. Credit unions in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas have only until Feb. 14 to nominate individuals for the Achiever of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.

The Achiever of the Year award is designed to recognize accomplishments, time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by professionals dedicated to serving credit unions $50 million and under in assets.  Nominees for this award must be from a Cornerstone-affiliated credit union and a paid credit union employee. Nominees will be asked to describe their:

  • Credit union Involvement
  • Chapter involvement
  • Small credit union committee involvement
  • Cornerstone advocacy or related organization involvement
  • Community involvement
  • Professional development and special certifications

The Professional of the Year award recognizes the accomplishments, time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by professionals. The Professional of the Year nominee must be from a Cornerstone-affiliated credit union and a paid credit union employee. Among other things, judges will consider the nominees:

  • Outstanding accomplishments for their credit union
  • Outstanding accomplishments for the movement
  • Outstanding personal accomplishments

The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes accomplishments, time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by volunteers. The Volunteer of the Year nominee must be a volunteer of a Cornerstone-affiliated credit union and a non-paid credit union volunteer. Nominees will need to describe their

  • Credit union involvement
  • State/regional level involvement
  • Community involvement
  • Special Honors
