Dana Harris

Every year, the Cornerstone Credit Union League selects a top performing marketing professional for its Marketer of the Year award. This year's dynamic recipient is Dana Harris of Western Sun Federal Credit Union in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a person who exemplifies this very distinguished award for high achievement.

Harris graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and a minor in marketing. She has 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising and has been the vice president of marketing and business development for the past 13 years. In the time she has been at Western Sun, her expertise has helped to triple the size of membership, and the credit union has enjoyed substantial loan growth almost every year. Her ideas, guidance, and discipline have yielded quantifiable business improvements at Western Sun.

Harris attended the CUNA Marketing and Business Development School and is currently pursuing her Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive designation, one of the premier titles in the credit union marketing world. Harris' hard work for Western Sun has won her 18 diamond awards from the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council and two Pinnacle awards from the Cornerstone Credit Union League. She has been named in the Top Forty Under Forty in Tulsa and is currently involved in three city chambers and the Credit Union for Kids committee.

Harris is humbled to have received the award and says, "My plate is full, but so is my heart; I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I am so honored to have received the Marketing and Business Development Professional of the Year. It was a personal goal for me. I have poured my heart and soul into my job and our credit union. I am blessed."
