Dallas Chapter Volunteers

Recently, the Dallas Chapter of credit unions organized a morning of volunteer service at the North Texas Food Bank’s Dallas Distribution Center. Staff and family members from several credit unions sorted and boxed donated items from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11. In the process, the volunteers filled 17 containers, which equated to 12,690 pounds and 10,575 meals.

The Dallas Chapter officers recognize the importance of volunteers at the North Texas Food Bank, and they wanted a day to give back to the community and help those in need. The group also supports the North Texas Food Bank financially by selling raffle tickets at its monthly chapter meetings and donating the proceeds.
