Anthony RodgersTexell CU has announced the hiring of Anthony Rodgers to the newly created position of General Counsel. In his new role, Rodgers will oversee human resources, asset recovery and compliance.

“As General Counsel, Anthony's combination of experience in law and in retail leadership makes him a valuable addition to the senior leadership team at Texell,” stated Texell’s President and CEO Tony Hale.

Rodgers brings over six years of experience with the law firm Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A. out of Wilmington, Delaware.  There he represented banks and trust companies providing assistance in capital market transactions, asset securitizations and structured finance transactions.  Prior to earning his Juris Doctor at Pennsylvania State University, he worked for Mervyn's Departments store as an Executive Team Leader.  Rodgers holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Texas A&M University.

“I am very excited to join Texell Credit Union.  The management and staff are energetic and highly focused on ensuring that Texell is a great credit union for its members," Rodgers stated.  "I look forward to contributing to Texell's further growth and success," Rodgers continued.

 

Fred SaylersSecurity Service FCU (SSFCU) announces Fred Salyers as the newest community and corporate development manager. In his position, he will enhance SSFCU’s brand awareness within the civic, business, military and legislative communities throughout San Antonio and the South Texas markets.

Prior to joining SSFCU, Salyers was a production manager for iRex Group, Ltd., a supplier of contract manufacturing services of custom cables, system integration, and electronic sub-assemblies in Austin. In his seven-year career there, he also served as a safety officer and logistics manager.

In addition to his work experience, he is also chairman of the Chris Ratliff Memorial Scholarship Fund; president of a youth sports complex and high school athletic booster club in Pflugerville, Texas; board member in the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life; and active participant in the American Heart Association Heart Walk.

 

Glynis MillerSSFCU has also promoted Glynis Miller to retail-internet sales manager.  In her new position, Miller will be responsible for the management of mortgage loan officers and organization of retail and internet channel functions across all lending territories.

Miller joined SSFCU in 2011 as an internet loan advisor and has several years of experience in the financial services industry.  Her previous work includes employment with Wachovia/Wells Fargo where she served as a quality assurance manager.

In addition to her work experience, Miller is also a member of the San Antonio Board of Realtors and Young Republicans.
