Cornerstone Welcomes Newest Members
Friday, January 12, 2018 6:50 AM

Credit unions are stronger and more sustainable as a movement and more visible and relevant in the financial services marketplace when they are a united force for their member-owners. That's why membership with Cornerstone Credit Union League is so essential, and why we are pleased to announce our two newest affiliations:

  • Arkansas Federal Credit Union
  • Southwest Oklahoma Federal Credit Union

Arkansas Federal Credit Union is a $1.2 billion credit union located in Little Rock, Ark. CEO Rodney Showmar worked with Arkansas Credit Union Association President Vicky Salkeld to secure their membership.

"Arkansas Federal is proud and excited to be affiliated with the Cornerstone Credit Union League," said Showmar. "We eagerly anticipate the difference we can all make together for members, communities, and employees as we unite to advance the credit union movement within Arkansas, the tristate Cornerstone region, and on a national level.”

Southwest Oklahoma Federal Credit Union is a $95 million credit union located in Lawton, Okla. CEO Emmett Meraz worked with Cornerstone League Representative Kelly Burns.

"We are delighted to welcome our two newest members of the Cornerstone family of credit unions," said Mike Delker, Cornerstone's SVP Credit Union Relations. "Cornerstone's goal is to support the endeavors of credit unions through representation, advocacy, training, and many other resources. We strive to ensure unsurpassed value for dues dollars, and we are excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve these two outstanding credit unions."
