Cornerstone Subcommittee to Consider Legislative and Regulatory Priorities for Texas Next Week
Tuesday, August 9, 2016 7:00 AM

Cornerstone Credit Union League's Texas Subcommittee of the Governmental Affairs Committee will meet Monday, Aug. 15, to discuss the legislative and regulatory issues confronting state and federal credit unions operating in Texas and to develop the priorities for 2017.

The committee will be discussing data security, home equity lending, taxation, the Texas Credit Union Department operations, examinations and funding, priority of liens, regulatory burden, elder abuse legislation, DMV title and lien issues, and title insurance deregulation. They will also look at the developing issues the League may face in the Texas Legislature or from regulators going forward, as well as federal issues that impact Texas state-chartered credit unions.

Do you have legislative or regulatory issues you would like the league to focus on in 2017? Email your concerns or the issues you want considered to Subcommittee Chairman Wayne Mansur at wayne@texomacu.com.

For more information, please contact Texas Credit Union Association President Jeff Huffman at 469-385-6488 or jhuffman@txcua.coop.
