Cornerstone Requests Texas-Chartered CUs to Comment on MBL Proposal
Friday, August 19, 2016 7:00 AM

Comments for Member Business Lending (MBL) Rule Due Aug. 22

Cornerstone Credit Union League is requesting that all state-chartered credit unions in Texas send comment letters to the Texas Credit Union Commission encouraging adoption of the proposed Member Business Lending rule.

Cornerstone SVP Regulatory Compliance Counsel Suzanne Yashewski said, "Adoption of this rule is necessary to ensure that Texas state-chartered credit unions are not at a competitive disadvantage with federally chartered credit unions when NCUA’s revised MBL rule goes into effect in January 2017."

Comments are due Monday, Aug. 22, and you can use a sample letter from the Cornerstone Comment Call page of the website.
