Cornerstone Officials to Welcome FAA CU as Juntos Avanzamos CU Sept. 26
Tuesday, September 16, 2014 6:30 AM

Cornerstone Credit Union League officials, including CEO Dick Ensweiler, will be in Oklahoma Sept. 26, to present FAA CU with the Juntos Avanzamos flag. The $550 million in assets credit union is the first credit union in Oklahoma to receive the designation. The flag raising ceremony will take place at 2 p.m., at the credit union’s Capitol Hill branch, located 3805 S Western.

Juntos Avanzamos, or Together we Advance, is a designation that is given to credit unions who demonstrate a capacity, compassion and commitment to meeting the financial services needs of Hispanic families. Credit unions must complete a rigorous application process to be considered for the application.

Being a part of the Together We Advance “family” means FAA CU offers bilingual services and information, collaborates with and supports organizations within the Hispanic community and offers affordable products and services fitting the needs of members within this demographic. For this continued work FAA CU is being awarded the distinguished Juntos Avanzamos designation.

Community leaders David Castillo, Ruben Aragon and Michael Brooks-Jimenez will be attending the Sept. 26 event at FAA CU, as will the Melgar family – loyal FAA CU members.

Credit unions can find additional information on Juntos Avanzamos, on Cornerstone’s website.

Other credit unions to recently earn the Juntos Avanzamos designation include:

  • La Joya Area FCU
  • People’s Trust FCU
  • Security First CU
  • Tinker FCU
  • Valley FCU
