Cornerstone & Louisiana Leagues' Member Business Services Council to Offer Member Business Account Opening 101 Workshops

The Member Business Services Council of the Cornerstone Credit Union League and the Louisiana Credit Union League is offering a Member Business Account Opening 101 workshop on select dates in September.

This course will be presented by Becky Culver, center manager at Barksdale FCU.  With more than 25 years of experience, Culver possesses extensive knowledge in both consumer and business banking. Her friendly and down-to-earth approach has led to rave reviews from credit union professionals in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. 

Educating frontline staff is an essential component in promoting an effective member business service program.  During this class, attendees will:

  • Break down each type of entity structure into practical terms;
  • Discuss the specific documentation requirements for each entity type, as well as practical tips and best practices, and
  • Develop a sense of ease and confidence in their ability to open business accounts.

The program is being offered:

  • Sept. 17, at Neighbors FCU, 12529 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, La. 70810:
    • Session 1, 9 a.m. - noon
    • Session 2, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

  • Sept. 24, at Barksdale FCU, 700 Northgate Road, Bossier City, La. 71111
    • 9 a.m. – noon

    • 9 a.m. - noon

Sponsored by the Member Business Services Council, the educational investment is only $50 for MBSC members and $100 for individuals who are not members of the council.
