Cornerstone League on the Hunt for GAC Crashers
Friday, January 2, 2015 6:30 AM

The Cornerstone Credit Union League, in partnership with The Cooperative Trust and the Credit Union National Association, is pleased to announce the launch of applications for Crash the GAC 2015.

Cornerstone is a supporter of Crash the GAC and is helping to recruit a young professional "crasher" for the sixth year of this program. Are you that young professional?

Crash the GAC will bring young credit union professionals together to run a tailored program alongside the main event and allow for mentor sessions with key individuals, who in the past have hailed from the National Credit Union Foundation, Credit Union National Association, Filene Research Institute, and CUNA Mutual Group. Every crasher will receive a full free conference registration from CUNA.

Cornerstone is offering travel financial assistance for the selected crashers, and one crasher will be chosen from each of Cornerstone's states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

“The commitment from the Cornerstone League, as well as both CUNA and The Cooperative Trust, to the Crash the GAC program says a great deal about the importance of young adults in the credit union system,” said Cornerstone Senior Vice President Mike Delker.

"Engagement in advocacy issues early in one’s career helps provide young professionals with the right knowledge to support their credit unions as they become our CEOs of the future," Delker continued. "With a reach across the whole of the United States, Crash the GAC brings a diverse group of future leaders to the forefront of credit unions at one of the movement’s premier events.”

If you're interested, don't delay. Apply now at Applications will not be accepted after Jan. 9, 2015. Final selections will be made in early January.
