Texas Trust CU Awards

Texas Trust Credit Union received four Pinnacle awards from the Cornerstone Credit Union League at its annual marketing conference. Pinnacle awards recognize excellence in credit union marketing, public relations, and business development.

Texas Trust’s “Your Future is Bright” campaign, along with its culture video, new member kit, and “free checking Facebook post,” all received Pinnacle awards in their respective categories.

Your Future is Bright was a community celebration event honoring the inaugural class of Arlington Collegiate High School. Texas Trust held a festive family party at its headquarters and gave each graduate a $1,000 scholarship. The event was devoted to the students and their families to share in the graduates’ accomplishment of simultaneously earning an associate degree along with their high school diploma.

Texas Trust’s new member kit received a Pinnacle for outstanding creative and packaging of new membership material. The all-in-one kit was designed to give new members a glimpse into the credit union’s history, highlight its great services, and provide all the required legal disclosures in one package that is appealing to read.

A third Pinnacle was awarded to the credit union for its clever boosted Facebook post that reached 52,248 people and created 2,800 reactions with 444 shares and 248 comments. Texas Trust capitalized on a competitor’s announcement about doing away with free checking to illustrate the Texas Trust difference and cleverly promote its free checking accounts.

Texas Trust’s culture video was also recognized with a Pinnacle in the brand awareness category. The video was a multi-purpose branding video jointly developed by the marketing and human resources departments to showcase “who we are and what makes us different.”

“Texas Trust continues to deliver award winning campaigns that are also making a difference in the membership and community,” said Stephen Lark, chair of the Cornerstone Marketing and Business Development Executive Committee. “All of their campaigns were started with just a spark, which generated ideas that truly made a difference.”

Award winners were recognized at the League’s annual Marketing and Business Development Conference in Tulsa, Okla.
