Cornerstone Foundation Announces New Trustees

The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation has just announced five new trustees as follows:  Windy Campbell, Lorraine Davis, Crystal Long, Brent Rempe, and Becky Whitted.

WINDY CAMPBELL

Windy CampbellWindy Campbell is the president and CEO of Arkansas Employees Federal Credit Union. She serves as secretary of the Cornerstone Credit Union League Board and the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation Board. She also serves on CUNA’s Small Credit Union Committee, the Cornerstone Small Credit Union Committee, and her local Central Arkansas Chapter of Credit Unions. In 2012 Windy received her CUDE as a Credit Union Development Educator and in 2008 she was a Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS) graduate. She is a voting trustee.

LORRAINE DAVIS

Lorraine DavisLorraine Davis is the vice president/systems management for Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union with 28 years of experience in the credit union industry. She has worked for Diamond Lakes for eleven years. Currently, Davis serves on the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation Board of Trustees and Cornerstone Credit Union League Committees:  Leadership Development, International Relationships, and Awareness and Outreach. She is a 2011 Honor Graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School and a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC). Since moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 2004, Davis has volunteered over 2,000 hours in the Hot Springs community. She serves on the Garland County Habitat for Humanity Family Selection Committee and the Hot Springs Housing Authority Family Self-Sufficiency Advisory Board. She is a voting trustee.

CRYSTAL LONG

Crystal LongCrystal Long is the president and CEO of GECU in El Paso, Texas. Long has been with GECU for 35 years and previously served as the EVP, COO, and other executive positions. She has been instrumental in leading GECU to become El Paso’s largest independently owned financial institution with over $2 billion in assets and more than 700 employees serving more than 329,000 member-owners. Long is a member of the governing board for the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the United Way, a board member for the El Paso Affordable Housing CUSO, a member of the El Paso Community College Accounting and Business Advisory Board, a member of the Las Palmas Medical Center Women’s Advisory Board, and a member of the Borderplex Alliance. She is a voting trustee.

BRENTE REMPE

Brent RempeBrent Rempe is the director of education at WEOKIE Credit Union in Oklahoma City. He manages both employee training and financial literary outreach to K-12 schools. Preceding WEOKIE, Rempe taught financial literary and career readiness in the Carrera Program at Union Public Schools in Tulsa. Included in his education, Rempe earned a Master Teacher of Personal Finance designation from the Oklahoma Council for Economic Education (OCEE) and was recognized as 2014 Oklahoma Economic Educator of the Year. He serves as a member of the Economic Education Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Oklahoma City Branch, and as an advisor to the WEOKIE Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors. Brent is a member of the National Association of Economic Educators and is active in the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. He is a non-voting trustee.

BECKY WHITTED

Becky WhittedBecky Whitted is CEO at Northwest Arkansas Federal Credit Union, has been serving the credit union industry for more than seven years. She started her career at UARK Federal Credit Union in 2008 as director of marketing and was quickly promoted to operations manager in 2009. Whitted serves on the ALCO Committee whose goal is to evaluate, monitor, and approve practices relating to risk due to imbalances in the capital structure. She is also currently serving on the Ralph Baker Memorial Scholarship Foundation Board, which funds education for Madison County senior students based on academic standing, attitude, school and community pride, activities, and financial need. She is a voting trustee.
