Wednesday, May 7, 2014 6:35 AM

The Cornerstone Credit Union League is offering its popular Bankruptcy and Collections seminars May 20-21 in Little Rock, Ark. If you haven’t yet registered, great news as Cornerstone has extended the early bird registration deadline until May 9. Credit union professionals that register before end of business day on May 9 will pay just $299 per person/per day.

The Bankruptcy seminar is being offered May 20 and the Collections seminar is being offered the following day.  Credit union professionals can attend one or both days. Both seminars will be held at Cornerstone’s Little Rock, Ark. office, which is located at 102 W. Capitol Ave.

The Bankruptcy seminar focuses on bankruptcy essentials for the new credit union bankruptcy officer, as well as current and emerging problems for credit unions in the bankruptcy courts. Automatic stay issues, payroll deductions, credit reporting, and other unintentional violations also be covered.

Collectors of all experience levels will benefit from the Collections seminar, which takes a practical new look at the legal issues surrounding credit union repossessions. This seminar will cover all of the key legal issues impacting delinquent vehicle loans, repossessions and the disposition of collateral.
