Cornerstone Explores Potential Financial Support for Litigation Efforts
Monday, February 12, 2018 7:00 AM

Regarding the recent uptick in ADA website compliance litigation, Cornerstone President/CEO Caroline Willard has directed staff to evaluate credit union candidates to determine if one or more may be a good test case to push through a lawsuit in various districts in hopes of obtaining multiple favorable rulings. Our best candidates will likely be small credit unions with a limited field of membership.

We are determining options for establishing an ADA defense fund wherein credit unions could contribute funds to assist the chosen credit union(s) in defending the case, and Cornerstone would match those funds up to a predetermined limit.

If your credit union has been sued regarding the ADA website compliance issue and you are considering fighting rather than settling, please contact Suzanne Yashewski at to determine if Cornerstone may be able to provide financial assistance.
