On Thursday, during the Southwest Lending Conference in Oklahoma City, leaders of the Cornerstone Lending Council presented a check for $10,000 to the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation.

The mission of the Council is to serve the credit union movement as a premier association dedicated exclusively to supporting credit union lending practices, research, development, and evaluation. This year, the Council placed an emphasis on scholarship, which led to the donation of $10,000 to the Foundation for educational support of credit union employees. In addition, the Council provided funding to small credit unions to attend this year's conference.

Foundation Director of Development Staci Zale was on hand to accept the check. "The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation was honored and appreciative to receive this donation from the Lending Council," said Zale. "We want credit unions and their staffs to succeed. That's why we support continuous education for employees and volunteers in the credit union movement. We give credit unions an opportunity to take advantage of professional training, conferences, and professional certification programs. Together we do make a difference.”

About the Lending Council
