Cornerstone Clarifies Requirements for Professional of Year and Achiever of the Year Awards
Thursday, January 23, 2014 6:55 AM

The Cornerstone Credit Union League was asked if a credit union CEO of a $28 million in assets credit union is eligible for the Professional of the Year award. The answer is yes. The purpose of the Cornerstone Professional of the Year Award is to recognize accomplishments, time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by professionals.

Nominees for the Professional of the Year award can be from any asset-sized credit union; however, to ensure executives of small credit unions have the opportunity to be recognized for their exceptional leadership, Cornerstone created the Small Credit Union Achiever of the Year award. Only executives serving credit unions $50 million and under in assets are eligible for the Achiever of the Year award.

To be eligible for either award, nominees must be from a Cornerstone-affiliated credit union and a paid credit union employee. Credit unions will find additional information on the Achiever of the Year award in the Awards & Recognition section of Cornerstone’s website. A nomination form is available online.

Additional information on the Professional of the Year, including a nomination form, is also available in the Awards & Recognition section of Cornerstone’s website.

In addition to the Achiever of the Year and Professional of the Year, Cornerstone is accepting nominations for the following awards:

Hall of Fame

Volunteer of the Year

The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 14. Recipients of these awards will be recognized at Cornerstone’s Annual Meeting & Expo April 22-24 in San Antonio.

If you have any questions about the award program, please contact Linda Webb-Mañon, vice president of communications and PR, at (469) 385-6486 or (800) 442-5762, ext. 6486.
