Cornerstone Credit Union League and Blalack & Williams Law Firm announced today a five-year agreement to continue their long-standing collaboration to provide credit unions in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas with financial institution management expertise and guidance on a wide range of operational and regulatory matters. The five-year strategic agreement through 2020 ensures that Cornerstone and Blalack & Williams will continue to collaborate very closely on behalf of credit unions.

“The Cornerstone League, Cornerstone’s credit unions, and the Blalack & Williams Law Firm have experienced a long and fruitful relationship benefiting the credit union movement in our region for more than 30 years,” explains Cornerstone Chief Member Service Officer/EVP & CFO Karen Hart. “This agreement helps to ensure our relationship will continue to provide credit unions with the solutions and knowledge that will help guarantee their current and future success in providing best-in-class service and relevant products and services to their members.”

“We are excited to continue our longstanding relationship with the League in providing quality training and instruction for credit unions,” stated Mike Blalack and Charlie Williams, founders of the firm. “We believe this collaboration epitomizes our mutual desire to always do everything possible to benefit and enhance the credit union movement.”

The agreement will allow credit unions to continue to benefit from the leadership and expertise of Mike Blalack and Charlie Williams through speaking engagements and consulting opportunities at numerous Cornerstone events across Cornerstone’s three-state region. Just a few of the events which are included are Bankruptcy & Collections seminars, Leadership Conference, Southwest CUNA Management School, Compliance, HR & Audit Conferences, and the Cornerstone League Annual Meeting.

"We remain committed to this relationship as we have a very long history of working together,” added Hart. “We share the mutual goals of serving credit unions with professionalism and expertise that is unmatched in our space, and this agreement ensures that this focus and direction is maintained for years to come.”
