Consumers Getting Financially Fit in April, Thanks in Part to Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation
Tuesday, March 24, 2015 6:40 AM

Thanks to collaboration between the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation and Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS), consumers will have access to 30 financial education webinars in April, four of which will be conducted in Spanish. The webinars are being offered in celebration of National Financial Literacy Month.

"In order to make sound financial decisions for their families, consumers need to have access to the right information, tools, and resources," notes Courtney Moran, executive director of the Foundation. "By collaborating with CCCS, we are able to reach a broader audience."

The 30 webinars in April kick off on April 1 with the following topics:

"Money Matters: Financial Success Begins Today" —  10:00 – 11:00 am
"Retirement 101: Knowing What You'll Need" —  12:00 – 1:00 pm
"Breaking Down Your Budget" —  2:00 - 3:00 pm
"Homebuyer Class/Counseling" —  7:00 – 8:30 pm

Surviving and preventing identity crisis, expense tracking, couples and money, how to get out of debt, conquering credit scores and reports, how to spend your tax refund, alternatives to payday lending, and digging deeper into your credit report are but a handful of other topics to be addressed in the April webinars.

Please note that the live financial education webinars are offered throughout the year, not just in April! A full schedule is available at www.cscuf.coop/events.html.
