NEW: Economic Podcast
'15 Minutes in the Economy'
This seminar covers all the new and old rules regarding opening accounts in Texas. 2014 has brought major changes to the POA statutes and minor changes in the renumbering of the statutes. During this seminar, we cover all the documentation, IRS reporting and account card issues for 30 plus types of accounts. We also cover information about types of identification like matricular cards, visas, gun permits and other areas of interest to credit unions. FinCen Proposed Customer Due Diligence rules will require ID on beneficial owners for legal entities and a new form. We’ve added some new accounts this year like the Veteran’s Account and minor account alone. With special issues regarding nonresident aliens pending, we take a look at the W-8BEN and how it should be completed. Plus many institutions received CP2100s mismatches for dividend reporting and there are ways to avoid that issue in the future. This is the perfect blend of what’s new and what continues to challenge us as we serve our very diverse members. Learn more!
