Compliance Review Seminar for Credit Union Branch Staff
Wednesday, September 24, 2014 6:50 AM

On Nov. 13, Cornerstone will be hosting a Compliance Review seminar at its Dallas location. This seminar will focus on opening Texas share accounts and will cover both new and old rules regarding opening accounts in Texas.

During 2014, there have been major changes to the power-of-attorney statutes and minor changes in the renumbering of statutes.

Dealing with over 30 types of accounts can be overwhelming. The Compliance Review seminar will cover how to document, report to the IRS, and issue account cards for all of those accounts.

Forms of identification can be confusing as well. Matricular cards, visas, gun permits, and other forms of ID will be included along with the FinCen Proposed Customer Due Diligence rules that require ID on beneficial owners for legal entities.

This blend of new, old, and current challenges will be beneficial for all member service representatives, branch managers, tellers, BSA staff, and deposit operations staff.  To register for this seminar please visit
