Community Resource Credit Union (CRCU), based in Baytown, Texas, has expanded its growing network of branches by opening its newest location in Mont Belvieu, at 11001 Eagle Drive, near Mont Belvieu City Park.

CRCU celebrated this excitement with two special events. The first, a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 13, commemorated the official opening of the new branch. In attendance were a number of elected officials representing the area, including U.S. Rep. Brian Babin and City of Mont Belvieu Mayor Nick Dixon, along with Chambers County officials Commissioner Rusty Senac, Sheriff Brian Hawthorne, and Constable Robert Barrow. Barbers Hill ISD Trustee Jeff Farrell and City of Beach City Mayor Billy Combs also joined the celebration, plus area Chamber of Commerce representatives, CRCU's board of directors, and area business leaders.

Community members then enjoyed the grand opening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new branch.

Branch Opening“We were thrilled to welcome everyone from the community who came out to celebrate with us,” said CRCU President/CEO David Frazier. “We had some great food there along with lots of fun activities for the whole family and the chance to win some great prizes, like an LG 65-inch LED smart HDTV.”

Other prizes included an Apple Sport Watch, iPad Mini, Xbox One, a sound bar system, gift cards, and much more.

“We look forward to greeting people from this hardworking community and sharing with everyone how we can help them start here to get wherever they want to go, to accomplish any goal,” said Frazier. “For us, that’s what being a credit union is all about, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to form real, lasting relationships with the great people of Mont Belvieu.”
