Communications FCU Breaks Ground

Communication Federal Credit Union (CFCU), one of Oklahoma’s largest credit unions, broke ground April 18 on a new branch location to serve Midtown Tulsa. The credit union expects the branch to be operational in the first quarter of 2017.

The facility will be located at the intersection of East 31st and South Sheridan and will enable the credit union to expand accessibility for residents in the area. The new branch will feature a service-oriented design, a multi-lane drive-thru, drive-up ATM, and safe deposit boxes.

“We’re excited about the new branch because it will enable us to better serve the financial needs of our members and others in the area,” said Shawna Hazelrigg, the Tulsa-Sheridan manager. “Communication Federal Credit Union prides itself on being a part of the neighborhoods where we have branches. Our business is taking care of people by going beyond just serving their financial needs."

The new facility will replace the current Communication Federal Credit Union branch in Mall 31 near the same location. CFCU has 21 branch locations, with six in the Tulsa metro.

The architect for the project is The McKinney Partnership of Norman and the general contractor is Miller-Tippens Construction of Oklahoma City.
