Who knew crayons could help save a life? Bell County-based Texell Credit Union is continuing its tradition as a long-time supporter and contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network with the coloring book, “Dancing with the Squad.” This custom coloring book follows Charity, one of Texell’s Dollar Squad Kids’ Club members, as she rallies the other Squad Kids and plans a dance-a-thon to raise money for McLane Children’s Scott & White, the Central Texas Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
“Since our Dollar Squad Kids’ Club was introduced in 2012, the Squad Kids have been teaching the importance of saving and managing money,” said Tony Hale, Texell’s president and CEO. “Now, the Squad Kids teach another important life lesson – the importance of giving.”

“Dancing with the Squad” coloring books are available now at all Texell branches for a minimum donation of $3. Coloring books can also be requested by e-mailing All proceeds will benefit the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital – McLane Children’s Scott & White.

“We were excited to learn that Texell wanted to develop a coloring book as a unique and fun way to raise money for and build awareness of Children’s Miracle Network and McLane Children’s Scott & White,” said Jennifer Williams, philanthropy coordinator CMNH at McLane Children’s Scott & White. “Texell is a proud supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network and 100 percent of the money raised through coloring books sales will be donated to help Central Texas kids.”
