Catalyst Corporate Introduces Cloud Computing During Economic Forum
Monday, October 28, 2013 6:35 AM

Catalyst Corporate FCU recently announced that it would provide credit unions with an enterprise-wide cloud computing solution.  The Catalyst Cloud Computing (C3) platform, powered by Compushare, will allow credit unions to move their local applications to a secure, scalable, highly-redundant and compliant environment that is exclusive to financial institutions. Catalyst Corporate also is offering a complete suite of technology services to serve credit unions that require improved security, management, auditing and reporting of their technology-owned environments.

During its 36th annual Economic Forum, Catalyst Corporate hosted two sessions for credit unions to hear more about these technology solutions and have an opportunity to ask questions.  “The Economic Forum, which drew approximately 300 attendees, was an ideal venue for engaging with our members about this exciting new offering,” said Kathy Garner, Catalyst Corporate’s president/CEO.  Speakers for these sessions included Catalyst Corporate’s Chief Financial Officer Melissa Wardell and Chief Operating Officer Brad Ganey. They were joined by Compushare’s Chief Business Development Officer Kathleen Roberge.

According to Garner, conference attendees were engaged and showed tremendous interest in C3, asking excellent questions during the session. “This reinforces our belief that credit unions are seriously considering cloud computing and other forms of information technology outsourcing as a top strategy to achieve their business objectives,” said Garner, citing increased efficiencies, enhanced security, improved disaster recovery and regulatory compliance.  “As a provider of cost-effective and secure back-office financial services, Catalyst Corporate can help credit unions achieve these goals, while also turning their attention to what’s important – member service and business strategy.”

Earlier this week Catalyst Corporate rolled out its new C3 microsite, a special region of its primary website dedicated to information about each component of C3 and other non-cloud information technology services. The site provides access to a slate of recorded educational webinars that cover cloud computing as well as technology-related regulatory issues and trends.  The microsite, located at www.catalystcorp.org/cloud, also features white papers, case studies, Q&A, due diligence information and an interactive “Cloud Migration Tool.”

Beginning in November, Catalyst Corporate and Compushare will host a series of informational webinars for credit unions that are interested in learning more about cloud computing and the C3 services in particular.
