Catalyst Corporate FCU Supports YOUR Cornerstone CU Foundation in 2018
Thursday, December 6, 2018 7:00 AM

Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union exemplifies the cooperative spirit with their support of YOUR Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation. Catalyst Corporate is not only a sponsor of the Foundation’s annual golf tournament and Festival of Trees but also conducts ongoing fundraisers for the Foundation. Activities include offering five extra basis points on new CIF investments, holding office penny wars, and letting its staff donate funds that enables them to wear shorts during the summer.

Catalyst Corporate wrapped up the year with a Foundation fundraiser at their Future Forums in October. Conference attendees had the opportunity to attend a ticketed luncheon with the Future Forums keynote speaker, former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith, and to bid on 10 footballs autographed by the legendary athlete. Raising over $12,000 for the Foundation, their cooperative effort was a win for the Foundation.

“We are pleased to work with credit unions in supporting Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation,” said Terry Young, Catalyst Corporate’s VP of communications and marketing. “Demand is high for Foundation funds, not only in Cornerstone’s region but also around the country, as a result of the fires, floods, and hurricanes affecting credit unions. We have a unique opportunity to join our member credit unions in raising funds for an organization that gives back so much to the credit unions they serve.”

“Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation greatly appreciates Catalyst Corporate’s efforts in 2018,” said Courtney Moran, executive director of Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation. “Catalyst Corporate’s enormous support and generosity is felt by credit unions all across the Cornerstone region.”

All funds raised benefit the Foundation’s three initiatives: credit union development, financial capability programs, and disaster relief for credit union staff and volunteers.
