Calling on CUs to #VoteForMiracles
Friday, December 1, 2017 6:40 AM

Hey, credit unions, here's a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the credit union difference to your members and your community. You know it from previous campaigns; it's VoteforMiracles.

With your help, VoteForMiracles will award a total of $100,000 to five winning Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. From Nov. 28 through December 19, credit unions and the general public are invited to support their local CMN Hospital by voting daily at

We need your credit union to make this campaign a success and highlight the credit union difference to as many people as possible! Please vote personally, encourage employees to vote, ask members to vote, and even tell your communities to vote! Materials to support your engagement efforts can be found here

"VoteForMiracles is a CU4Kids initiative that is easy for credit unions to get behind," said First Class American Credit Union President/CEO Nancy Croix-Stroud. "Get your employees involved, reach out to your membership, encourage everyone to vote for their local children’s hospital. Be in the top five vote getters, and get more money raised for the hospital and the children."

During the voting process, voters will be asked to "Choose their credit union." The credit union that generates the most votes for the winning CMN Hospital will be invited to the check presentation ceremony. When the final votes are tallied, the hospital with the most votes wins $50,000, second place receives $20,000, third place receives $15,000, fourth place receives $10,000, and fifth place receives $5000.

"What an easy way to raise more funds for your local children’s hospital, for simply taking 15-20 seconds out of your day to vote daily," Croix-Stroud adds. "Votes are calculated from the ISP numbers, so if you have a work PC/laptop, home pc/laptop, or a smart phone, then you can cast more than one vote a day. It is all about the children and helping your local children’s hospital have resources for treating our children."

The total donation of $100,000 on behalf of credit unions is thanks to the generosity of CO-OP Financial Services.
