Big Spring Donates to Food Bank

The Big Spring Chapter of Credit Unions participated in the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s food drive as part of International Credit Union Day, donating 6,800 pounds of food and a check for $250 to our local food pantry, Isaiah 58.

"The Big Spring Credit Unions were excited to participate in our 1st annual food drive this year” David Roman, Complex Community FCU, says. “Together, we were able to make a donation of 6,800 pounds of food to Isaiah 58, our local Food Bank. Thanks to our credit unions and credit union members, Isaiah 58 will be able to provide help to a number of needy individuals in Big Spring."

Cosden FCU President/CEO Tamera Barber agreed. “Being a part of the community is important to Cosden FCU. As a part of the Big Spring Chapter of Credit Unions, we love the ability to join forces with the other credit unions in order to help others in the community to a larger degree than we could have by ourselves. It is really nice to be a part of the credit union movement and putting our ‘people helping people’ philosophy to work in our own community.”
