BBB Honors One Source FCU with Torch Award
Friday, June 5, 2015 6:50 AM

One Source Federal Credit Union in El Paso was recently honored by the Better Business Bureau with that organization’s Torch Award. The award is given annually to companies that have demonstrated a high level of commitment to ethics in business practices.

One Source was founded in 1937 and has been serving members in El Paso, Texas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, ever since.

One Source FCU President and CEO Bob Peterson said, “We are obviously proud to have been recognized for our longevity and for our values. We consistently put the interests of our members and our communities at the forefront of what we are accomplishing here.”

One Source is deeply committed to a variety of community activities ranging from support of traditional charities to active support of non-traditional enterprises. Examples include a business incubator, the First Tee of El Paso, and Money Smart Week. One Source employees hold leadership roles in each of those.

“We may not be the largest credit union in our area," Peterson said, "but we still believe that the well-being of our communities is also key to the well-being of our members. That’s just the principle behind our commitment and the receipt of the Torch Award.”
