Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union welcomed its board members, staff, volunteers, representatives from Credit Union Resources, and others to their groundbreaking ceremony on April 21. The additional site in Baytown, Texas, will be a 5,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility.

Bayer Heritage FCU was established in 1957 and celebrates their 60th anniversary this year. They began as Mobay Employees Federal Credit Union for the Mobay Chemical Corporation in Proctor, W.V., and they opened the Baytown, Texas, branch in 1973. Bayer Heritage currently serves nearly 40,000 members and has an asset size of more than $450 million.

Branch Manager Neva White said, "We look forward to continuing the credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People' in Baytown and the surrounding area."

Working with Bayer Heritage FCU on this project is TGS Architects and PhaseOne Design Builders.
