Collections Seminar

Drake begins the day proposing a softer approach to members and their financial travails, with emphasis on contract revisions, additional collateral, etc.  Then he prepares you for the more aggressive “gloves-off” approach, as a final resort when sugar proves ineffective.

Frank Drake

Franklin Drake has practiced in the Raleigh, North Carolina law firm of Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers for 25 years, following a sixteen year practice specializing in creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and repossession law in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Drake has practiced in North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia and the federal courts of southern Indiana.  For the last 38 years in 40 states, he has lectured regularly at practical training courses,  bankruptcy and regulatory compliance programs and webinars.   Frank has advised and represented most of the major secured and unsecured financers on secured lending,  bankruptcy and regulatory compliance matters. He especially enjoys guiding his clients around compliance pitfalls and how NOT to get sued.

Educational Investment

The market value of one of a seminar registration is $600. Cornerstone Members qualify for a significant discount as a benefit of membership.

A limited number of registrations are available. In-person seminars include handouts, continental breakfast, lunch, and two (2) refreshment breaks.

Conference Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing. Please provide a brief explanation for the cancellation and submit via email to training@cornerstoneleague.coop. Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the event are subject to a 25% administrative fee on the order total. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received on or after 30 days prior to the event. Substitutions are accepted prior to the start of the program. Additional costs may apply. Please provide the event name, current participant name, and new participant name to training@cornerstoneleague.coop.

Cornerstone League reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances. If the conference is rescheduled to another date or modified (virtual or hybrid), your registration will automatically transfer. If the event is rescheduled or location is changed, and you are unable to attend, your fees will be refunded.

 

Grant Assistance

The Cornerstone Foundation is accepting grant applications for League training events based on financial need. Applications must be received by application deadlines.
