Bankruptcy and Collections Seminars Can Prevent Serious Liability

The Bankruptcy Seminar
Proofs of claims, the failure to properly perfect liens on automobiles, and fraud can expose credit unions to serious liability. Don't let that happen to you. Bankruptcy Seminar participants will take an in-depth look at the following topics:

The Collections Seminar
The Collections training focuses on the Texas Debt Collection Practices Act and various compliance issues regarding collections policies and procedures and guidelines for effective telephone collections.

Credit union collectors must have a clear and thorough understanding of the restrictions and requirements of the Debt Collection Practices Act and this seminar will provide a section by section analysis. A portion of the day is devoted to practical advice with regard to effective telephone techniques and strategies which will make collectors more effective on the telephone.

Collections Seminar participants will take an in-depth look at the following topics:

  • Texas Debt Collections Practices Act – restrictions and requirements
  • Compliance issues in the collections department
  • Collection policies and procedures
  • Guidelines for effective telephone collections
