As Election Season Ramps Up, So Should CU:ROAR Teams
Tuesday, September 8, 2015 6:55 AM

In anticipation of the upcoming election season, it’s a great time for credit unions and chapters to begin forming their CU:ROAR teams. Part of the CU:ROAR premise is that advocacy teams are prepared to meet challenges head on. Because CU:ROAR stands for Credit Unions: Ready, Organize, Activate, Respond, you’ll want to set yourselves up for success when called upon to act and show support.

If you already have a CU:ROAR team in place, now is the time to rally the troops for training, strategizing, and formalizing plans for your grassroots advocacy efforts. Ideally, your stated goals and actions will support and promote the issues your credit union wants lawmakers to focus on most.

Cornerstone is here to help you get organized, running smoothly, and becoming active participants in the advocacy process. Let us know how we can help. Contact April Krause at akrause@cornerstoneleague.coop or Gretchen Ziegler at gziegler@cornerstoneleague.coop.
