Arkansas' 92nd General Assembly to convene Jan. 14

Arkansas Governmental Affairs Update – Regular Legislative Session

The Regular Session of the 92nd General Assembly will convene Monday, Jan. 14. During this session, the Arkansas Credit Union Association (ACUA) will have a bill filed which would allow credit unions to hold public funds.

Passing this bill to expand credit union authority to hold public funds will require the support of all Arkansas credit unions. Cornerstone Credit Union League encourages credit union leaders to contact their state legislators to ask for their support. (Who is my Arkansas legislator?)

ACUA will email the bill to Arkansas credit unions upon its introduction. Once you receive it, contact your lawmaker using the bill number (shown on the right side of the bill) and its subtitle as reference. The bill number will signify whether it's a House (HB) or Senate (SB) bill, which determines where the process starts.
