The Texas Access to Justice Commission (ATG) awarded Aaron Young, assistant general counsel at Fort Worth-based American Airlines Federal Credit Union, with the ATG Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Award for his volunteer work with Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Services (TVAS).

The ATG Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Award was created to recognize outstanding corporate counsel attorneys who provide pro bono legal services for the poor and promote pro bono culture within the corporate framework.

Chief Justice Nathan Hecht of the Texas Supreme Court presented Young with the award at the State Bar’s Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The recognition also came with a $2,000 stipend to donate to the Texas legal services program of the recipient’s choice. Young, of course, selected TVAS as the beneficiary organization.

Young volunteers numerous hours every month for both TVAS and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. He primarily volunteers his time assisting with divorces, drafting estate planning documents, and providing general advice clinics at local homeless shelters.

Congratulations to Aaron Young for receiving this exceptional honor.
